Hi all,
for ages I've wanted to broadcast online but I never could grasp any of how to do it at all, plus I also had dialup up til middle of last year. and it's been in the back of my mind ever since. so yesterday I've been reading, listening, rereading and relistening to the reviews and tutorials on the ACB radio site, and I think now I have a pretty clear idea of what's involved and I have got everything - all the equipment I need! .. anyway I've been looking and I'm afraid that live365 started charging after I got my account but as I wasn't cluey on how to broadcast at that stage, I had to leave it to close! Anyway I was wondering what you guys use? cos I was thinking of getting my own shoutcast server just on here to experiment and play around with but then I would like to get something I can do my own broadcasts with on occasions.
I'd love to get one that ya kinda pay what/when you use. do those exist? and though at this stage talk sounds appealing, I have such a wide variety of music that I'd maybe think about eventually showing it off! any good deals that anyone wants to tell me about.
and also does the shoutcast plugin for winamp work well for you all with softwear speech? I use to have a trippletalk but I can't get it workin again (after my installing of XP) I also have my braillenote that I can use keynote for a hardwear synth. anyone do that kinda thing?
Sorry but I guess I'm just excited that I finally got grasp of this and want to hear others' experiences - newbies and oldies! :)
Cheers! :)
As far as I know, the speech will only come over the air if your using the advanced controls in shoutcast. And I'm not sure, but I think you'd need to use advanced controls to take skype calls.
